The Titanic | Thomas Rowan Morrow | Enamel Pin Badge | Drumlough Heroes

The Thomas Rowan Morrow Enamel Pin Badge has been designed and produced by Drumlough Heroes LOL 153 .

The Enamel Badge is in Memory of their Late Brother Thomas Morrow who was the past Worshipful Master of the Drumlough Orange Lodge and had perished on the Titanic, 15th April 1912.

Thomas Rowan Morrow was born outside the town of Rathfriland in the townland of Drumlough County Down. He was born on 17th April 1880 and baptised in First Rathriland Presbyterian Church on 15th July, 1880.

Thomas left his home at Drumlough, outside Rathfriland in County Down on a journey which he like 1500+ others believed would be life changing. He was heading to Canada to meet up with his brother who had left home three years earlier and was working as a ranch hand in Alberta.

Unfortunately Thomas never made it to the other side of the Atlantic. He boarded the Titanic as a Third Class Passenger at Queenstown ( now known as Cobh ) , County Cork, but unfortunately Titanic struck an iceberg on 14th April, 1912 and sank in the early hours of the next morning, 15th April.
